In today's world, the importance of statistics is increasing in the formulation of public and private plans and in the adoption, implementation and evaluation of development projects. The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) were finalized in 2000 based on various indicators. The importance of statistics in evaluating the progress of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has increased significantly. To this end, a ‘New Data Revolution’ has been called for and emphasis has been placed on enhancing cooperation for the development of the overall statistics system. BBS is currently working to implement this plan. Also to compile statistics consistent with all national, regional and international road maps including Perspective Plan 2010-2021, 7th Five Year Plan 2017-2020, Vision 2021.
